Palisades

A quiet family community northwest of Georgetown University is filled with restaurants and shops along the Potomac River. Unbeknownst to many Washingtonians, the neighborhood is a quiet answer to the bustle of Cathedral Heights and Georgetown. Running along MacArthur Boulevard and the Reservoir, it offers easy access to the C&O Canal, running and biking trails, as well as Battery Kemble Park. The Palisades proximity to Clara Barton Parkway and Chain Bridge make it an easy location for reverse-commuters and both Bethesda and McLean school systems. Some local favorites include the DC Boathouse for some delicious American comfort food, Et Voila, a fun French-Belgian bistro with a fantastic beer selection, and Bistro Aracosia.
